You are so deprived of connection that you stay true to yourself. You forget how to be fake. You don't know how to play the game because you've been on the bench so long you forgot the rules. So when you finally talk to people, you're just... you. Raw. Unfiltered. No mask.
And people think you're weird for it.
Because everyone else learned how to water themselves down. They learned what to say, when to laugh, how to act interested when they're not. They got reps in. They practiced being palatable. And you were just sitting alone being yourself the whole time.
So now you show up genuine and people don't know what to do with that. You say what you actually think and they look at you funny. You care too hard too fast and they pull away. You're too real for a world that runs on being fake.
