Studystream Got The Real Ones

Aight I gotta give credit where it's due.

A couple days ago I was bitching about studystream. About feeling like an outcast in those rooms. And that was real. That was my truth in that moment. But it's only half the picture and I'd be a fraud if I didn't say the other half.

The people on studystream are some of the most mature, hardworking humans I've ever seen online. Ong. Not even close.

These people are grinding. Studying 10, 12, sometimes 14+ hours a day. Working toward real goals. School, career, side projects, the bar exam, med school, whatever it is. They sit down. They lock in. They put in the work. Every single day.

Meanwhile I'm in the same room procrastinating for 14 hours straight since I found the site. Just lurking. Just vibing. Just existing in their grind energy and contributing nothing. And nobody clowns me for it. Nobody side eyes. They just keep grinding next to me like it's nothing.

And then on top of that some of them have been straight up supportive in a way I wasn't expecting. People clocking that I'm suffering and reaching out. Like hey if you ever wanna chat I'm here. Hey we can talk if you need to. I appreciated that more than I can put into words. Coming from strangers on the internet. Coming from people who owe me nothing.

That's rare. That's actually rare. The internet is mostly trash. We all know this. Most online communities are clout chasers, performative weirdos, parasocial mess, or straight up bots. But every once in a while you stumble into a corner of the internet that's just real. Just mature. Just people quietly trying to be better.

Studystream is one of those corners.

It's the ones working in the dark. Wanting to actually succeed in their careers and their schoolwork. Not posting about it. Not flexing it. Just doing it. Day after day. Camera on or off. Doesn't matter. The work is the work.

And the one thing I always try to remind them when we do talk is this. It's a journey. The success on the other side isn't gonna feel the way you think it's gonna feel. The grind is the actual point. The early mornings. The late nights. The hours where it's just you and the work and nobody's watching. That's where life actually happens. Enjoy that part. Fall in love with that part. Cause the destination is always smaller than you imagined and the road is always longer than you planned.

I'm rooting for every single one of them. For real.

To the real ones on studystream — y'all are different. Keep going.

it is what it is twinski.
